Thank you all so much for giving your change last month. We were able to raise $1,430.64 for the youth ministry! The girls were the champs once again (raising the most change) and had the pleasure of using the men of the church as napkins on "Wing Night" at the Crane Room, April 10, 2008. Thanks Crane Room for a great night of wings and fun!
Beneath The Surface Rally
What a night! The Beneath The Surface Rally was a great way for Community Youth Groups to get together and enjoy an evening of Christian Rap, Christian Rock and Christian Worship music. There were "I BELIEVE...." Tees, CDs and DVD give-a-ways, Peer Testimonials, a Church of Genesis Drama Team skit, and of course...CJ Hitz! Just how much of an influence does the multi-medias of today's world have on you? You might be surprised at how much it really influences your thoughts and actions. CJ Hitz had a great deal of hard-hitting facts and numbers and incorperated them into fun, fast-action video clips. Last of all, the audience was treated to a very funny music video of the Youth Group Leaders, including our very own "PC" (Pastor Cole). The leaders were a boyband-for-a-day lipsinking to a parable of a very well-know boyband song. Laughter filled the sanctuary! And that was the icing on the cake!
