The Church of Genesis is a non-denominational body of believers located in New Castle, Pennsylvania. We hope you enjoy learning all about GENESIS and we invite you to be a part of our family! OUR BELIEFS
Our beliefs are basically evangelical, without a dogmatic approach. Excerpts from our Statement of Faith include the following:
WE BELIEVE the Bible is the inspired word of God.
WE BELIEVE in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE man was created in the image of God and, having fallen from that estate, is a sinner against God.
WE BELIEVE that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation which is by grace alone through accepting Jesus Christ as personal Savior.
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the head of the church, virgin-born, crucified, resurrected from the dead, and now intercedes for the believer.
WE BELIEVE in the internal and external manifestation of the Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
WE BELIEVE in having a vital relationship with Jesus Christ rather than a mere experience in religion. WE BELIEVE that the church is to be an extension of Jesus Christ in the world today. Many people are searching for acceptance and some may have even felt rejection by the institutional church. WE BELIEVE that we can offer you "A New Beginning." Our worship style is one where there is freedom of worship without the pressure to conform. We hope that you will feel very comfortable worshiping with us and that you will give us the opportunity to serve you.
